Children's Day Celebration

Childhood is about innocence and's about fun and enjoyment. A child who is happy today is a confident and positive adult tomorrow. This is what the students of NPSI Mysore experienced on 14 November 2017. As the students entered the school, the excitement and delight was visible by the big smiles on their faces as they saw the school embellished with big flowers, balloons, paper windmills and origami frocks and shirts. Each classroom was decorated in a unique way and the teachers were waiting to welcome their precious students. The faculty kept the children entertained the whole day with a plethora of events and competitions. The morning started with the singing and dance competitions of the senior students. It was great to watch a good number of students come up on the stage and showcase their talent. Following this, all the teachers put up a magnificent programme for the students. The students were thrilled to watch the teachers sing, dance and perform for the students. They cheered all the teachers as they made their appearance. The most heart touching moment for them was when the support staff of the school stepped on to the stage. Everybody was stunned and delighted. It was completely unexpected. The affection of the support staff was evident in their efforts. It was amazing to know how much the support staff care about the students. The principal, Ms Shubha Achaiah, greeted all the students on the special day and stressed that one should always keep the child in us alive. She also stated that the students always remain close to the teacher’s heart even when they have grown up. In the end, the School Prefect Gaurav Achaiah thanked all the teachers and support staff for their efforts to make the day special for each student of the school.

This children's day the students not only realized how great it is to be a child, but also felt grateful that their childhood is supported by amazing teachers and helpers who care enough to take them through this phase of life with a lot of care and affection.
