Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better – Albert Einstein
The teachers took all children of KG II A and B to the school garden area to explain the process of germination. The children were instructed to fill soil into empty coconut shells, and then the curious learners were given some sprouted seeds to sow in the soil. Each day, they were taken to water the plants. Children’s joy knew no bounds as they saw saplings sprouting from the seeds that they had sown. This activity helped them to understand the importance of air, sunlight, water and nutrients in the soil, for plants to grow. They were excited to see the tiny seeds grow into small plants with roots, stems and leaves. The little learners took their plants home and promised to nurture them.
