Virtual field trip for classes 1 to 5
Field trips serve a vital function in education as it links the classroom experience to the outside world in such a way that it gives the learner and educator the valued practical experience.
Students of classes 1 to 5 were all geared up to visit different places virtually, on Monday, 30 August 2021. It was their first experience of a virtual field trip, they awaited enthusiastically to know what’s in store for them!
Students of class 1 visited the ‘Mysore Zoo’ where they got to see many wild animals, their habitat and food they feed on.
Students of class 2 went on a farm visit, their theme being, ‘Go Green’. Their trip was focused on observing different plants and plant product on farm.
The third graders were taken to the ‘Chocolate Factory’ where they saw the journey and transformation of the cocoa bean into delicious chocolate.
The students of class 4 virtually visited ‘The Heritage City Mysore’ in their traditional attire.
The students of class 5 learnt about the unspoken rivers of India, River Kali being the main highlight. The excitement was in the air, with the hue of blue as they sailed through the river Kali. Students carried their snacks, water bottle, coolers and caps.
It was indeed a productive day with lots of fun and learning.
The magic of a field trip isn’t just the subject. It’s the break in routine and adventure that opens up student minds to new things.
