The maiden commerce fest- ‘COGITO MERX- Creating Magic with Merchandise’ was conducted by Team NPSI Mysore on 7 August, 2021. A total of 19 teams from various reputed schools such as National Academy for Learning (NAFL), NPS Indiranagar, NPS Rajajinagar, NPS Koramangala, NPS HSR, NPS Gopalapuram, MICA, and Police Public School, took part in the event.

    The event commenced with a galactic inauguration programme. Stating that it is the will to win that matters, the Principal Ms Akhila Dinesh, congratulated all team members for their participation,She declared the event open for the contestants and motivated them to put in their sincerest effort. Two eminent and distinguished judges, Mr Arun Pradeep and Ms Anusha T, were present to evaluate the contestants. The entire programme was virtual and interspersed with music, dance and trivia, to keep the attendees involved throughout. There were four rounds in all. The first was Quizzical Cues -a warm-up quiz round. This was followed by 3 more rounds, which were eliminatory. Round 2 was Reinventium, where participants had to create a catchy logo and tagline for the allotted themes. Post lunch, the qualifying teams assembled for Mercatus, where they had to devise a marketing strategy for allotted rural products. The finale round, Battle of the Brands, tested the participants’ skills to re-launch a product that had failed in the market.

    All the participating teams were enthusiastic right from the beginning. The event was a marvellous show of business acumen, wits and reasoning, that kept everyone at the edge of their seats. The participants put up outstanding presentations in the given time frame, making the choice of winners, challenging for the jury. The eventful day concluded with a scintillating valedictory ceremony. Armaan Gupta & Diya Bahukhandi of NPS INR emerged as winners, followed by Keerthi Nair and Ustat Kaur Sethi from NAFL, as runners up. The winning teams were awarded gift vouchers and e-certificates. All the participating teams were also awarded e-participation certificates. The fest was definitely a class apart and is sure to be reminisced as one of the best interschool events, hosted by NPSI Mysore.
