  • Celebrating the Spirit of Patriotism

    Team NPSI Mysore celebrated the 75th Independence Day on 15 August 2021, on the virtual platform and the programme was dedicated to those patriots, whose selfless sacrifices helped us to realise the dream of ‘Free India’.

    The programme streamed live on MS Teams, commenced with a grand welcome, followed by hoisting of our National Flag and rendition of the National Anthem. The Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, addressed the virtual gathering and her speech instilled a sense of pride and patriotism, in all of us. She also made a special mention of the Tokyo Olympic medallists, stating that it was a historical moment of victory, for our country. The School Prefect, Paulatsya Adwait Vekaria, also addressed the gathering and spoke earnestly about the role of freedom in a student’s life.

    The live show was interspersed with recorded programmes, that included the Flag Song by students of Classes 6, 7 and 8. The program shifted gear to electrifying song and dance performances by students of Class 5. The foot tapping medley of regional songs aptly portrayed the essence of unity in diversity, exclusively characteristic to our nation. An articulate speech in Hindi elaborated on the significance of Independence Day. Team NPSI Mysore also took this opportunity to express thankfulness to our Nation’s Covid Front Line Warriors. A group of students, held placards with messages, that conveyed gratitude to these selfless souls, who have dauntlessly served the society, throughout the present challenging times. A sense of pride and valour was instilled in the audience by the captivating fancy dress performances by 2 Pre Primary students. Their speeches about Dadabhai Naoroji and Rani Lakshmi Bai, were awe inspiring.

    Celebration of Independence Day is never complete without listening to our national song, Vande Mataram, which effectively showcases the abundance and greatness of our nation .The programme was concluded by the students of Class 5 with expressions of acknowledgement to the Management, our Principal, teachers, students and parent fraternity, for joining in and making the 75th Independence Day celebration, a grand success.
