Independence Day – Honouring Our Heroes

On 15 August 2020, 74th Independence Day was celebrated at NPSI Mysore with utmost patriotic fervour. e programme
began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Ms Shubha Achaiah, followed by singing of the National Anthem.

is year's Independence Day was dedicated to the corona warriors who are �ghting day and night to free our nation from the
pandemic- COVID-19. e event was live streamed so that the students and their family members could witness it from their
homes. e programme was followed by the rendition of a song by Mr Vishwas and Mr Smith- a tribute to all those freedom
�ghters who lost their lives to free our nation from the British rule.

e Principal, Ms Shubha Achaiah, addressed the audience. Our Teacher Leader not only spoke about the responsibilities each
one of us have on our shoulders but also about the Global Pandemic. She emphasized on being strong, fearless and also to be
united in these tough times and �ght together towards the be erment of our society.
rough their melodious voice, Ms Leena and Ms Amrita invoked a feeling of deep pride and respect for our country. e day
ended with a heart-rendering speech by Ms Srilata paying tribute to the heroes who are the eternal source of inspiration.
