REMINISCENCES - 2018 - 19
The class of 4 C students tried to impart the importance of Prayer on 8 August 2018 as part of their Assembly Programme. The students beautifully conveyed the message through a mime. They came up with two melodious songs which led the audience into true devotion. This was followed by, an electrifying dance performance.
The students enthusiastically took turns in highlighting the process, the requirements and the outcome of prayers done with faith, honesty and sincerity. They also thanked the Almighty, for giving the privilege to hold on to Him at times of trials and distress through prayers.
On 12 September 2018, the young buddies of class 3A staged a show emphasizing camaraderie in a team and empowering kids to stand up for others who are bullied. They utilized the platform provided to them by putting up a fabulous show on the theme 'Be a buddy, not a bully'.
They overwhelmed the audience with a rap ' Be a buddy, not a ba ba ba bully'. It was presented beautifully by the rockstars of 3A with two main rap artists, a beatbox artist adding rhythm to the rap and the rest in chorus, clapping and foot tapping. To add rhythm and music to the show, the talented buddies performed the 'Tinikling' dance. It is a traditional Philippine folk dance which originated during the Spanish Colonial Era. The background for the dance was an evergreen old Hindi melody, 'Panchi banoo udti phiroo'.
On behalf of all the students of class 3A, two students presented the vote of thanks. They thanked everyone for providing them an opportunity to exhibit their talent and to be able to convey a beautiful message- Be a Buddy, Not a Bully
Our differences make the world a very interesting place and we all are designed for a specific purpose. The students of 4B conveyed this message brilliantly through a small skit. Every child’s spirit mesmerized the entire atmosphere on the day of the class assembly on 01 Aug 2018.
It emphasized on the fact that we have the ability to do remarkable things just as we are and to refrain ourselves from comparing it with others. We just have to recognize our strenghts what we are good at and constantly hone our skills.
This was followed by the rhythmic songs, the lyrics of which conveyed to the audience that they are special and important to the world.
The energy grew manifold when the students performed on the foot taping dance on some famous Bollywood numbers. The students themselves realized that they shouldn’t try to fit in when they are born to stand out and they indeed stood out as exemplary.
This opportunity bestowed on them to perform was very well utilized by the students of 4B leaving the audience enthralled.
On July 4th 2018, the students of class V A presented their class assembly conveying the message that "Life is beautiful... appreciate and add colours to it".
The students were shining in bright yellow top and blue jeans which were appropriate for the theme. The programme began with a skit which depicted that "The life is beautiful". The skit gave the message that we need to appreciate and must be grateful for what we have, instead of complaining about small things in life. Sharanya and Theerth were the anchors of the show. The skit was followed by a melodious song depicting that all things around the world are bright and beautiful. There were few quotes which added meaning to the theme. The students enjoyed performing a foot tapping dance. Gowri recited a poem composed by herself. The assembly was concluded by Aditya acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved.
The canvas of life is waiting for some bright colours... let us add some shades of joy, love, peace and happiness.
Mathematics is everywhere in our lives, contrary to the popular belief, Mathematics has a wide range of useful applications. The students of class IV A conveyed this message through their assembly programme on 25 July 2018.
They depicted how Math has become an inseparable part of our lives. They gave the audience a list of daily activities that involve the use of this universal subject.
Through a colourful skit, the students conveyed the importance of calculations from the preparation of 2-minute noodles to the BODMAS calculation. A power packed dance performance spread the message that Mathematics does have many applications outside of the theoretical.
The satisfaction of being able to convey their message successfully was seen in the bright and smiling faces of the students of class IV A.
