Doctor’s Day - Family Doctors On the Front Line - 2022
Doctors are saviours of life and hence they are considered to be next to God. July 1 is commemorated as National Doctors Day in India to remember Dr BC Roy, a renowned physician who was also the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. The day marks his birth anniversary as well as his death Anniversary. National Doctor's Day is observed to acknowledge and honor the selfless and relentless efforts, contributions and sacrifices of doctors for the community. Making the gen next aware of the unparalleled services of doctors, is sure to inspire many more to take up this noble profession. To observe Doctor’s Day in a unique manner, the students of class 2 conducted a special assembly programme on 1 July 2022. The exclusive event included speeches, quotes, melodious music and an ecstatic dance, which the students showcased with élan. The significance of doctors’ presence and their life saving works was highlighted through a skit, and one was left wondering what we would have done, if doctors also had availed leave or worked from home during the pandemic! Our beloved Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh emphasized onthe fact that doctors play an important role in our health and overall well being, adding that any amount of praise, reward or recognition, will fail to truly acknowledge the kindness and compassion shown by medicos or the work done by them during the pandemic as frontline warriors, She called upon students and staff members to be grateful to all the benevolent medical professionals and practitioners for their endless service towards human kind.
