Ganithothsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Class VIII on 16th December 2025 to emphasize the importance of Mathematics and to instill a sense of joy and curiosity in learning the subject. The event aimed to showcase how Mathematics is not only essential in everyday life but also creative and enjoyable.

The programme began with a special morning assembly highlighting the significance of Ganithothsava. The assembly featured a lively Math Rap that captured students’ interest and set an energetic tone for the day. This was followed by impressive fancy dress performances in which students portrayed renowned mathematicians Srinivasa Ramanujan and Aryabhata, bringing their contributions to life. A Shakuntala Devi Calendar Game was also conducted, which added excitement to the programme by showcasing the students’ mental calculation and quick-thinking abilities.

The celebrations continued throughout the day with a variety of engaging activities organized at different venues. Students displayed innovative mathematical models that demonstrated various mathematical concepts in a simple and creative manner. A Math and Art Corner attracted many students, highlighting the connection between mathematics and creativity. The event also included math puzzles, student-onducted quizzes, and a well-presented mathematical skit, all of which encouraged active participation and teamwork among students of Class VIII.
