  • A TRIP TO GOD’S OWN COUNTRY…

The students of classes 11 and 12 were filled with excitement and enthusiasm as they set out on a trip to God’s Own Country, Kerala, on Friday, the 14th of October 2022.

After an overnight trip on the bus, the group of 65 students with their teachers, reached Hotel Anton, their residence for the trip. Following a hearty breakfast, the group visited the Vallarpadam Church. After offering prayers, the team proceeded for a cruise ride on the cool waters of the Arabian Sea. As they sailed along, enjoying the warm sunshine, they were in for a treat. The organisers had planned a complete entertainment package comprising sumptuous lunch, songs, dances, and a DJ session. The team of teachers and students thoroughly enjoyed the cruise trip. This was followed by a visit to the Cherai beach, where the group got to play amidst the lashing waves, while admiring the setting sun over the horizon.

On the second day, the group travelled to fort Kochi where they witnessed colourful stalls and the Vasco da Gama church. The boat ride that ensued in the backwaters of Alleppey, was indeed a relaxing experience. The reflections of the looming coconut trees and the setting sun in the waters, were replicas of picture postcards. From here, the team proceeded towards Lulu Hyper Mall, one of Asia’s biggest malls. After a satisfying shopping experience and dinner, the travellers boarded the buses and commenced their return journey towards Mysuru.

The entire tour was an enriching experience where students learnt about the history and culture of Kerala. The team returned home with cherishable memories that will be reminisced for a long time to come. The group thanked the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, for having given them such a lovely opportunity, that combined fun with learning.
