According to Francis Bacon, travelling is a part of education. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip, it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the classroom. To provide such enriching experience, students of class VI were taken to Bandipur National Park, on 26 February 2020,which is regarded as one of the most beautiful and well maintained national parks of India.

The fun filled bus journey heading towards Bandipur started early in the morning. Students were full of excitement as they looked forward to witness many animals in Bandipur Tiger Reserve. Upon reaching the venue, we were all welcomed by a team at Bandipur Windflower Resort. This was followed by a delicious breakfast. Students were taken for a nature walk, which gave them a chance to come closer to nature and experience the serenity. The various activities in the resort like table tennis, carrom, trampoline, chess, billiard etc kept them occupied inside the resort. Later in the afternoon, students were served with scrumptious lunch. All students were exhilarated for the most awaited moment to experience Safari. They were thrilled to see many wild animals in their natural habitat. Finally as the time to wind up the journey came closer, students relished cool juice and some snacks to beat the afternoon heat. Before leaving the resort,they thanked the management and the staff with handmade ‘thank you’ card for the wonderful time they had. This wonderful one day in the lap of nature at Bandipur had definitely created many memories which will never be forgotten!
