Our class excursion to Coffee Grove Resort, Chikmagalur was indeed a very refreshing break from our daily school routine. 16 December 2019 was a much awaited day for us. We left early at around 6.00 am. The bus journey to Chikmagalur was filled with fun and laughter, as we danced to the latest songs. The journey was filled with beautiful picturesque scenes and views of nature. We reached the resort at around 11am. After our room allocation we had a heavy and delicious lunch which was very much needed, after the long tiring journey.

The various activities in the resort like badminton, table tennis, carrom, trampoline etc kept us occupied for the rest of the day. Later in the evening, we checked the famous coffee species of Chikmagalur along with some tasty snacks. We had lots of fun in the pool, splashing water on each other. The bonfire was indeed the best part of the excursion. We danced to our hearts content as the music filled the air. We woke up next morning, fresh to take a nice walk amidst the coffee plantations. We learnt about the two varieties of coffee seeds – Arabica and Robusta. To beat the afternoon heat, we had a refreshing rain dance organized by the resort. Before leaving the resort we thanked the management and the staff for the wonderful time we had there. We came back to Mysore with a lot of memories - never to be forgotten!
