To create awareness on oral hygiene and its importance, a guest Lecture was organized for the students of the Pre-Primary and classes 1 to 5, NPSI Mysore on Thursday, 7 October 2021., The Guest speaker Dr Anitha Nitin, Cosmetic/Aesthetic Dentist and Endodontist, Mysore adopted various tech tools and techniques to make the young learners comprehend the importance of oral hygiene.

Dr Anitha threw light on, the structure of the teeth, development of plaque on teeth which leads to the formation of cavities, Snacks and food productsthat cause teeth problems, how to avoid cavities and consume good food for the healthy teeth, techniques to brush effectively.

She also elucidated the importance of visiting the dentist regularly by revealing different procedures done during the visit.

The speaker concluded the session with a story “Alan’s Scary Teeth” through which the young learners apprehended the importance of Oral Hygiene.
