'Carols' means 'to celebrate'. Earlier it was a tradition to render carols in all four seasons of the year but over a period of time, the practice of singing carols gained importance only during the Christmas season.

The Christmas tide in NPS International began with the carol singing competition held at Teresian College auditorium conducted by 'The Carmel Catholic Association,' Mysore. It was held on Sunday, 8 December 2019. Our students participated in two categories, the Pre Primary and Primary groups.

They rendered a medley of Christmas carols, singing 'for unto us a child is born,' 'wish on a Christmas night,' 'we need a little Christmas,' and many more famous carols. The studentsmesmerized the audience and left them speechless with harmonious rendition of the carols. The auditorium echoed with loud applause, admiration and appreciation for the performers. The competition was challenging as there were a lot of other schools who also participated.
