A Visit to Zoo
“Travelling tends to magnify all human emotions.” Field trips can be a wonderful way to bring learning to life! Whether it’s a visit to a museum, the zoo, or even just a nature walk, the experiences that students gain on field trips can help them understand and appreciate the world around them. The students of class 2 were enthralled to embrace the diversity in flora and fauna through a visit to the Zoo on 29 November 2023. The journey provided real exposure to a lot of species from different phyla including aves, mammals, amphibians and reptiles. The entire area, surrounded by lush greenery, added to the serene calm of the place. Children absolutely loved the sight of beautiful giraffes eating leaves from the trees and the leopard cubs playing in their enclosure. They were excited to see the playful monkeys jumping around within their cages. The hippopotamus enjoying an afternoon nap and elephants roaming around with their mates are just some of the views captured in their hearts forever. Students were made aware of the diversity in life during the course of evolution. The visit was fun, fascinating and educative for the young learners.
