Field Trip- KG2 & Mont Sr- Karanji Lake
On a sunny morning, our school organized a field trip to Karanji Lake and Aviary in Mysore. Excitement filled the air as we boarded the bus, eager to explore one of the city's most famous tourist attractions. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the serene beauty of Karanji Lake, which is spread over an area of 90 acres and surrounded by lush greenery. The picturesque location instantly captivated us, promising a memorable experience. As we made our way to the aviary, a massive enclosure that houses a wide variety of bird species, welcomed us. We were greeted by the peaceful chirping of the birds. The aviary was meticulously designed, with tall trees, small ponds, and artificial rocks that simulated natural habitats for the birds. It was a delight to observe these magnificent creatures up close, and we were fortunate to witness them freely flying and perching around us. The informative signs placed strategically throughout the aviary helped us identify different bird species. Students marvelled at the vibrant colours of the Indian Peafowls, the grace of the swans, and the playfulness of the Parakeets. It was truly a mesmerizing experience to witness the birds' natural behaviour and observe their interactions with each other. Our visit to Karanji Lake and Aviary was not only enjoyable but also educational. We learned about the importance of conserving these delicate ecosystems and how they play a crucial role in sustaining avian populations. It was a reminder of the immense beauty and diversity that exists in nature and a call to protect and preserve it. As the field trip came to an end, we left with a newfound appreciation for the avian world and a desire to continue exploring and learning about the natural wonders that surround us. The visit to Karanji Lake and Aviary will remain etched in our memories as a remarkable experience that sparked our curiosity and deepened our connection with nature.
