Exploring the Pharma World!

Technology has proved to be a blessing, especially during the time of the pandemic. Since actual field trips are out of question given the current situation, the students of class 12 had the novel experience of participating in a virtual one. The field trip took the form of a pre-recorded guided tour of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. It was a wonderful opportunity that gave the students, an educational insight into the elaborate manufacturing and packaging process of medicines. Students witnessed the entire process, from the procurement of raw materials, the prepping stage, the complex machineries in action, to how medicines were packed and dispatched. The students were captivated and amazed when they got to know of some of the common trade secrets and tricks of marketing. The teachers also added to the explanation, which helped in better understanding of the nuances of pharmaceutical companies. It was a visual treat and a lovely break for students from the daily schedule. The students of class 12 wholeheartedly thanked the Principal for this unique learning experience and expressed gratitude to teachers, for taking the time and putting in effort, to make the trip, educational and interesting.
