A December to Remember
The month of December undeniably brings in joy and fervor worldwide. It’s Christmas Time! Merry festivities, shimmery Christmas trees, glistening lights, carols, presents, exotic and mouthwatering cuisines, meeting and greeting people, family time, anticipation and resolutions, chilly weather; all these formulate Christmas! Christmas 2021 at NPSI, Mysore had all these flavours. There was joy in decking up the classes with glitters and Christmas trees, by students. There was anticipation of the Christmas Celebration, in School. There was joy in giving and creating suspense through the game- “Secret Santa”, among the faculty members. The students of Class VI spread delight and painted the portals of NPSI Mysore red with their ecstatic performances on 23 December, 2012. The students spent over a week in preparation and rehearsal to put up a ‘live’ show for their fellow peers. Live performance by the VI graders in the school auditorium was indeed an icing on the cake, as this was a maiden performance post pandemic. The students enthralled and moved the audience with their cheery carols, rhythmic dance numbers and a skit to reveal the true essence of Christmas and its celebration. Dressed as Angels, Elves, Christmas tree and The Three Wise Men, they appeared in front of the audience to reiterate the significance of these characters during Christmas. The effort of all the teachers and students bore fruition as the students in the school and those watching online had a blast witnessing the celebrations. Indeed, it was ‘The December’ to remember!
