  • Information Empowerment

The NPS group of Institutions has always strived to give the best to its students and has a curriculum that is tailor made, to provide an opportunity for students to explore their interests and make the right choices and decisions on their impending future. The common dilemma that most parents and students face, is regarding the further course of action after completion of tenth grade. To address this issue and to empower the current batch of Class 10 with the right information, an orientation program was conducted on the 13th of November 2021, at NPSI Mysore. This was the first live session held on campus, in the school auditorium, after the pandemic. The objective of the orientation program was to give detailed information and broaden the perspectives on the variety of streams available for the students, in class 11.

All students study computer science, mathematics, science and social science till class 10 after which, they are required to specialise in a certain stream that reflects their passion and forms the building block, towards their career goals. The orientation programme commenced with an interesting insight, by the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, into the broad streams and subjects, available to class 11 students at NPSI Mysore. The Principal also threw light on the excellent results secured by the previous batches, in the Class 12 Board Exams. Talking about placements, Ms Akhila spoke about the several prestigious institutes, around the globe, where our alumni are pursuing further studies, after graduating from NPSI Mysore. The teams of teacher and student speakers from the Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams, touched upon the elective choices and career options available to students, for each stream. When the student speakers spoke about their career goals, the Universities they have applied for and the role of NPSI Mysore in strengthening the foundation of learning, it made the session much more interactive and relatable. The interactive presentation helped to bring in a great deal of clarity, regarding stream choices, for the parents and students of Class 10. The session concluded with appreciation and compliments from parents, for team NPSI Mysore, for organising such an informative orientation programme.
