The fervour of nationalism was infused at NPSI Mysore during the 73rd Republic Day celebrations, held on 26 January 2022. The event was streamed live from the school campus.

The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh. In her motivational speech, the Principal recalled the selfless sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and many brave soldiers. She said that students are the future of the country and it is in their hands to preserve the rich culture and heritage of this nation. She extolled upon the students to imbibe the values of gratitude, respect, humility and love for the country, which will take India to greater heights. A scintillating pre-recorded cultural programme by the students of Class IX, which was telecast for the audience, rekindled the spirit of patriotism in every individual, Right from the rendition of the national anthem to the musical melodies and dance to the medley of patriotic songs, the energy, fervour and love for our motherland was evident. This was indeed the perfect day to celebrate and cherish being ‘Indian’ as our identity, with our heads held high in pride.
