Scilore- Experiments Galore!
The first ever e-Scilore, was held on Saturday, 23 September 2021. All the students of KG, Montessori, classes 1 to 9 and class 11, took part in the event and showcased their talents on assorted topics in the field of Mathematics, Computer Science, Science and Social Science.
The mega event was streamed on MS Teams platform. The school Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, inaugurated the event and in her address to the virtual gathering, she emphasised on the importance of keeping the curious mind alive and enhancement of knowledge through experimentation, She also appreciated the efforts put in by all the students, parents and teachers.
The pre-primary students described the life cycle of a butterfly; the primary years explored the world of measurements, significance of Indian festivals and also threw light on current issues such as global warming.
The middle year students engaged in hands-on experiences, where they conducted various experiments such as filtration, adulteration, gravitational pull, friction and many more. Students also conducted interesting experiments in Mathematics and Computer Science, completely stealing the show. The secondary and senior secondary students explored the vast domains of science and social science. From creating a working model of a steam engine to explain thermodynamics, to a ramp walk that highlighted changing fashion trends, the students had it all, in a perfect blend. A group of students interviewed the director of CFTRI to understand the laws and regulations of food industry and few others created an interesting movie to showcase the impact of COVID-19 on our economy.
The event concluded with a scintillating virtual Valedictory ceremony, where the Principal, announced the names of winners, under the various categories of Scilore 2021. The principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, also launched Synergy, an exclusive magazine of, for and by the senior secondary students. The magazine is a mélange of thoughts, stories, talents, art and ideologies of the senior year students.
The virtual mega event was infused with dance and music, where the students of classes 4 to 9 mesmerized the audience with their dance moves and euphonious songs. Scilore 2021 was a grand success, standing testimony to the fact that team NPSI Mysore leaves no stone unturned to make every single programme at school, be it on campus or online, an eventful and a fruitful one.
