“Making our way to the higher end of the spectrum, we always knew that the opportunity to celebrate our teachers would fall upon our shoulders and the shoes won’t be easy to fill in. But here we were, accompanied by our seniors and carrying the love sent in by all students, ready to rock on!” expressed the students of Class 11, as they reminisced the Teachers’ Day celebrations of 5 September 2021.

The online event started off with an enthusiastic and warm greeting by the comperes, who took the audience through a visual treat of various enthusiastic dance performances by the students of grade 12, which indeed showcased an immaculate blend, ranging from graceful to peppy and fun! Conveying their love for the teachers through snippets, the students shared heart -warming stories that brought many smiles and maybe even a tear or two. “Without the nurturing care and guidance of our dear teachers, we really wouldn’t be who we are” was the unanimous message that echoed in all expressions.

The gorgeous gals and handsome dudes of grade 12 set the fashion runway on fire, as they walked the ramp in classy couture. The slideshow of the lovely clicks screamed confidence and glamour shined through every picture. The stand-up comedy show, that included classic ‘online-school’ jokes to yellow line humour, had the audience in splits! The dancers of class 11 showcased a blend of talent that included a classical number that transitioned into a Bollywood dance party and ended with some international hits.

A melodious Kannada song ‘Paathshala’, significantly depicting the beauty of school life was rendered. Thereafter, the band brought in more groove with some electrifying numbers. No less than a concert, the band really blew everyone away. Right from the vocals to the strings, drums and keyboard, the performers had the audience captured, with their smooth execution. The celebrations organised by students, concluded with the acknowledgement of all those who had contributed to make it eventful and memorable. Teachers were indeed touched by the love showered upon them by the students of senior secondary.

Apart from celebrations from students, teachers were in for a special treat by the Principal and the Admin team. Attired in retro theme, the facilitators enjoyed every moment on campus, on their D-Day! In her inspiring address to the gathering, the Principal Ms Akhila Dinesh, acknowledged the valuable contribution of teachers in a student’s life, emphasising on how educators truly make a difference to the world! A host of games, activities, spell binding performances, the sumptuous dinner, the goody bags, the clicks and captures, the smiles and laughter, made every facilitator on campus, feel cherished, appreciated and valued. Teachers’ Day 2021 is truly an event, that all teachers of NPSI Mysore, will treasure for a lifetime.
