Founders Day
NPSI Mysore, celebrated its ninth Founder’s Day on 14 June 2022. It was indeed a momentous occasion as the school stepped into its 10th stellar year. The glorious ceremony started off with the lighting of the lamp by our dignitaries, Dr Bindu Hari, Vice Chairperson TISB, NAFL & NPS Educational Institutions, Ms Josheta Hari, Head of Planning and Development, NPS Group of Schools and the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh. A divine rendition of the invocation song by our students from classes 8, 9 and 10, added more fervor to the celebrations. After invoking the divine presence of the almighty, the graceful dancers of classes 9, 10 and 12 performed Naatayanjali, adding charm and rhythm to the grand occasion. A resplendent video, that included snapshots of the glorious 9 years gone by, brought back nostalgic memories. The Principal, in her welcome address, expressed her thankfulness to the founding members for giving us an institution to be proud of. She stated that Dr.K P Gopalkrishna, is indeed a doyen and a visionary, who along with Dr. Santhamma,, has given the world, a magnificent institution of educational excellence and eminence. Two of our alumni, Aakrith Harikumar and Chandni Kushalappa, reflected upon their experiences and values imbibed during their beautiful school life. Quoting that they had the best and most productive years of their lives at NPSI Mysore, they advised the juniors to make the best use of opportunities provided by the school. The vivacious vocalists of class 12 mellifluously rendered ‘On top of the stars’, and transported the audience to the top of the world. Two of our facilitators, Ms Roopa and Ms Meera, who have been with the school since its inception, shared their experiences and took us down the memory lane. On this joyous occasion, Silhouette 2022 was released by dignitaries Dr Bindu Hari, Ms Josheta Hari and Ms Akhila Dinesh. They were accompanied by the chief editor Ms Kavya Annaiya and chief designer, Mr Uday. Themed as ‘Mind with Heart’, this year’s edition is a beautiful compilation of the successful accomplishments of the school, during the pandemic year. Two teachers, the poetess’s of NPSI Mysore, Ms. Srilata and Ms. Amrita conveyed their gratitude to this ‘temple of knowledge’ and to the founders, through a poem composed by them. The verses were well knit with a unique blend of English and Hindi, which reflected the sentiments of all proud NPSites. Calling the school as his ‘second home’, Aditya Sashi of Class 10, shared his fond experiences at school and said that he deemed it a privilege and a blessing to be a student of NPSI Mysore. Dr Bindu Hari rendered the Founder’s address on this glorious occasion and spoke about the humble beginnings that the NPS Group has had. She stated that over the years, commitment to quality education, passion and persistence has been the driving force for the founders and the team, which has led to the NPS Group making a mark for itself, globally. Dr Bindu created cherishable memories for Team NPSI Mysore to reminisce, as she complimented each and every member, who had contributed to this glorious founder’s day celebrations. The Dean, Dr Santhamma Gopalkrishna, addressed all staff members and said that as teachers, what keeps us going is the willingness to learn, unlearn and relearn, to adapt to situations. It was a moment of nostalgia, when the fifteen teachers who have been with this prestigious institution from the time of its inception, expressed their love and gratitude through a mellifluous and melodious rendition of a song “Jubilee”. The song was a prayer for the school to continue on the path of glory for many more years to come. The finale event was a power-packed dance performance by the dynamic dancers of class 12. The grand celebrations concluded with the acknowledgements delivered by Kushboo of Class 12. Signing off for the day were our comperes Nandita Matolli and V Divith of class 12, who wished for many more birthdays and many happier moments for the school.
