  • Graduation Day 2022-23 - ‘The Caps-Off Moment’

    High fives and hugs, recalling fond memories, making new memories to cherish, the ‘caps-off moment’, expression of gratitude, excitement and uncertainty for new adventures of life. It is that time of the year where the students of Class 12 have to finally bid adieu to their Alma Mater, their teachers and friends for their future endeavors.At NPS International, Mysore, Graduation Day is a grandiose and auspicious occasion which is celebrated in great pomp with days of planning and hard work behind the stage.

    It was ‘The Day’ on 06 February 2023, the most awaited, yet emotional day for the graduands. Clad in their gorgeous green sarees and hues of green shirts and blazers, the girls and boys of Class 12 were geared up for the momentous event.

    The prograamme commenced with a grand welcome extended to the honourable chief guest of the evening His Excellency, Sri Yaduveer Krishndatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Maharaja of Mysore, respected Chairman Dr K P Gopalkrishna, Dean of NPS group of Institutions Dr. Mrs Santhamma Gopalkrishna, revered Director and Vice Chairperson Dr Bindu Hari, and our beloved Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh. The presence of the chief guest, His Excellency, certainly added glint to the occasion.

    The event commenced by invoking the blessings of the almighty through lighting of lamp followed by the invocation song and dance from the students of Classes 6 to 10. The graduands were conferred with mementos. The chief guests inspired the gathering with thought provoking words and blessings for the students.

    Dr KPG mentioned the importance of having a vison in life and the grit to pursue it; and told students to show gratitude to their parents for providing opportunities to venture out in life. Dr Bindu Hari spoke about taking risks in life and not to fear failure; as setbacks teach us life lessons. She also stressed upon the value of empathy and importance of giving back to our society.

    His Highness Sri Yaduveer Krishndatta Chamaraja Wadiyar Wadiyar conveyed to students, the importance of upholding culture and heritage through his speech. He also mentioned about students being responsible citizens and to enjoy the process of learning in life.

    Ms Akhila Dinesh proudly declared the students as graduands and said that NPSI has provided the right platform to acquire necessary skills, in order to venture out into the world, and carve their own paths.

    A glimpse of the journey of students at NPSI, Mysore, and a surprise video from the teachers of class twelve were displayed on the celluloid which definitely captured the overwhelming moments of the graduands at school. The student speakers Milan Anna Kennedy, Avani Manjunath and Darshan Mehta poured their hearts out with beaded words to express their gratitude towards the school and staff. The students said that they owed it to their Alma Mater for helping them transform into strong and confident individuals.

    The parent speakers Dr Kumar K S and Ms Priyadarshini Mahendra spoke about their ward’s journey and their achievements at NPSI Mysore. They thanked the school for having played a crucial role in the holistic development of their child.

    The ceremony was indeed an emotional one for parents to see their children blossom, grow tall and confident; all set to face the new world. It was an overwhelming moment to see the students finally bidding goodbye to their second home, their school NPSI Mysore.
