* Unlocking Knowledge at the Speed of Thought *

NPSI Mysore hosted the inter school quiz competition, Quizanza 2022-23 on July 28, 2022. This was undoubtedly a show stopping event OF the students, FOR the students and managed entirely BY the students of grades 11 and 12. The event was spectacular with 10 schools participating from Bangalore and in and around Mysore.

The planning for Quizanza had started months before the event. The entire campus was buzzing with excitement and preparation several weeks before July 28, 2022 - Quizanza day. The students of NPSI Mysore have always believed in being organised in everything they do. They were divided into different committees and together worked towards achieving a common goal.

Each and every student guided by teachers, worked with fervent determination to make this mega event a roaring success. Writing the script, framing the best questions, putting up the decor and planning the cultural events in a matter of days was not an easy task. The effort that had gone into Quizanza had been tremendous. But to see it all come into fruition had been a different feeling altogether. The theme for the year - Yuva Bharata was highlighted throughout, starting with the invites, the decor to the final round questions.

20 teams from NPS-INR, NPS-RNR, NPS-HSR, Mahajanas School, Police Public School, Navkis Educational Centre, Podar International School, Vasavi International, Pushkarni and I Can the learning centre assembled in the auditorium at 9am to witness the inauguration of the event. They were welcomed by the classical singers and dancers of the school who entertained the audience with their melodious singing and foot tapping dance.

After four rigorous rounds of asking an array of questions, it finally narrowed down to four teams. In between the rounds the audience was kept engaged in an interactive session through trivia, riddles and puzzles. The fifth and final round would decide which team would hold the rolling trophy of Quizanza 2022-23. After the fifth rounds of tough competition, the second runner up position was bagged by Kashish Sharma and Kishen Saichinmayi Mattam from Podar International School, Mysore. Hananeel Ephraim Mandam and Sabharinath from NPS Rajajinagar Bangalore, bagged the first runner up position. NPS HSR, Bangalore, represented by Aryan Sandeep Dixit and Omkar Anand Bajaj, emerged as winners and scooped up the highly coveted rolling trophy of Quizanza. The grand valedictory function was adorned with the band- Symphonia playing catchy tunes.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Ms Akhila Dinesh, said that participation is of more importance than winning and congratulated all participants on their endeavour to showcase their intellectual might in this fest. The Principal of Mahajanas Public School, Ms Rajeshwari Iyer and the Principal of Police Public School, Mr Rennie Joseph Mendonce, graced the occasion and complimented the student body of NPSI Mysore for having put up such a wonderful show. They expressed that NPSI Mysore, truly, has set high standards of excellence, for others to emulate.
