  • Road Trip With Dr Bindu Hari

    To facilitate the Well Being of all Teachers’, the Board of Governors, led by Dr Bindu Hari embarked on a road-trip to all its branches. The programme was conducted at NPSI Mysore on 18 and 19 November 2022. Spread over two days, the event was packed with interesting activities and learning sessions.

    On the evening of 18 November, The Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh warmly welcomed Dr Santhamma, Dr Bindu and Ms Caroline, the Head of TTA, the in-house training facility of NPS, and expressed her gratitude for their mentorship and support. The Vice Chairperson Dr Bindu Hari, addressed the team of teachers and said that the NPS culture strives to encourage its team to try out new initiatives and discover a hidden potential. Speaking about the Dean Dr Santhamma Gopalkrishna, Dr Bindu stressed on the humble beginnings, the vision and the unparalleled effort, which has made NPS, a benchmark institution. Engaging the teachers in interesting riddles and questions, Dr Bindu emphasized that the well –being session was meant to be fun and aimed at bringing out the child, in each one of us. Following this, the Core group of activity teachers from the music, dance, PE and Art and Craft department, conducted a skill learning workshop, for an hour, for all teachers. It was amazing to see the expertise of the core group and the performance put up by teachers after the 1hour training. The evening concluded with bonfire and dinner.

    On 19, the session began with an elaborate introduction and warm welcome to the Dean, Dr Santhamma by the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, who said that Santhamma Ma’am’s expertise from years of experience, yet the simplicity and humility which she portrays, is an inspiration to all. This was followed by an extensive knowledge-sharing session by Santhamma Ma’am, who touched upon the topics of classroom and behavior management, professionalism in teachers and the values of appreciation and humility. She said that teachers have an important role to play because they shape an entire generation.

    The two-day session concluded with high tea and teachers returned home, enriched with knowledge and empowered to realise their fullest potential.
