ABRACADABRA
ABRACADABRA, an event showing the presentation skills of Kindergarten and Montessori children of NPS International Mysore, was held on 3 February 2024. The theme chosen was ‘Outlandish Species of Plant and Animal Kingdom’ and early learners spoke about flowers, land animals, water animals, birds, insects, reptiles, fruits and vegetables. Children were supremely confident in their presentation and showcased their oratory skills beautifully. Parents attended the event in large numbers to encourage their children. Montessori seniors spoke in clear and confident voices about the winged wonders and shared feathered facts on their theme Outlandish Birds. Students of Montessori Beginners confidently explained different outlandish fruits and veggies, even taking the initiative to lead an interesting interview session with Mr. and Ms. Broccoli. The enthusiasm and curiosity, was built amongst parents when the students of Montessori Juniors shared information about few insects like bush cricket, the enchanting puss moth, the mysterious scorpion fly, and the majestic giant silk moth. KG1A spoke about outlandish terrestrial animals with unique names, habitat and behaviour in detail. Parents were engaged in an interesting activity of making a Fennec fox using Origami sheets. Students of KG1B started with a welcome dance with pom poms in their hands. They smartly and confidently spoke about the different variety of outlandish flowers, with creative expressions captivating, voice modulation and apt actions while performing on stage. The audience were wonderstruck when the students of KG2A took them on an adventurous journey to meet some of the interesting reptiles around the world. They shared amazing and lesser known facts about reptiles. Children introduced themselves to the audience, each child of KG2B spoke about the outlandish sea animals like frilled shark, spider crab, sea angle, zebra sea horse and mandarin fish. They also highlighted about its unique food habits, colours, characteristics and habitat of the sea creatures in detail. They had interesting riddles that kept the parents actively involved. Our dear principal Ms Akhila Dinesh, spoke on the occasion and emphasized upon applauding enthusiastically for these young children to boost their confidence. She also mentioned that each child is unique in his/her own way. She complimented the Kindergarten and Montessori teachers for their efforts in building the personality of the children and helping them to blossom beautifully. Overall the mesmerizing performance of the tiny tots during Abracadabra, made the event, a grand success.
