    On the 17th of November, 2023, the students of Class 11 embarked on a fulfilling visit to the Upgraded Government Higher Primary School – Kumbar Koppal near Hebbal. The day started with excitement as they left the campus at 9:00 AM, eager to engage with and support the students of the government school.

    Arriving at the government school around 9:20 AM, our students were warmly received by the staff and students there. They were graciously invited to join their assembly, where our students experienced their remarkable sense of community and witnessed their inspiring morning rituals, including the national anthem, motivational speeches, puzzles, talk on home remedies and birthday wishes.

    PSI students moved to the respective venues and commenced their classes with children belonging to different levels. Class 11 students were divided into groups based on their areas of expertise. They were able to cater to the specific needs and interests of the young learners of the Government school.

    The communication group took the lead in teaching English skills to students in classes 5, 6, and 8. Through interactive activities and engaging conversations, they emphasized upon the importance of effective communication and provided valuable guidance on improving language skills.

    The science group showcased their passion for the subject by teaching topics such as reflection, acids and bases, as well as providing an intriguing insight into the functioning of the lungs and respiration to the students of classes 5,6 and 8. The students in the government school were captivated by these scientific concepts brought to life.

    In the art and craft group, young enthusiasts of the NPSI team explored their creativity and encouraged the younger students to express themselves through artistic endeavors. From crafting to painting, these aspiring artists inspired their peers to discover and nurture their own artistic talents.

    The computer science group introduced the students to the fascinating world of technology. They taught the basics of email communication, games empowering the younger students with the skills needed to navigate the digital landscape.

    Lastly, the math group made math fun and accessible. They focused on teaching concepts such as symmetry, perimeter, and area. By breaking down complex mathematical concepts into manageable parts, they helped to develop a love for numbers and problem-solving.

    Overall, the visit was a resounding success, with the Class 11 students leaving a lasting impact on their counterparts in the Government school. Through their dedication, passion, and commitment to education, these students proved that knowledge has the power to transform lives. The entire team of NPSI Mysore, thanked the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh, for her inspiring ideas and for giving the students, an opportunity, to make a difference to the world.
