Democracy and leadership are the cornerstones of every successful institution, and NPS imbibes the importance of cultivating these qualities in students. The school council elections for the academic year 2023-24 were held through a free and fair democratic process on 16 June 2023. In a grand display of honor and responsibility, the investiture ceremony was held on 30 June 2023, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the school's journey. This momentous event brought together students and teachers to witness the official conferral of authority upon the newly elected student council members. The atmosphere was charged with energy and enthusiasm as the Principal and Chief Guest, Col. Shishir Thammaiah were escorted to their seats and the school community gathered to witness this significant occasion.

The highlight of the ceremony was the moment when the newly elected student council members were adorned with their badges and sashes. The Principal, along with the Chief Guest, bestowed these symbols of authority and responsibility upon the young leaders. Each student council member received their respective position's insignia, signifying their commitment to serve and lead with integrity.

The Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh during her address on the occasion, congratulated all the student council members and commended them for their commitment to serve as leaders and encouraged them to embrace their roles with passion and resilience. She urged all the students to actively participate and support the student council's initiatives, fostering a collaborative and harmonious school environment.

The Prefect and Sports Captain representing the pinnacle of leadership, delivered eloquent speeches, expressing their gratitude and determination to fulfill their roles with sincerity and dedication. They outlined their vision for the school, promising to create a nurturing environment where every student's voice would be heard. Their inspiring words ignited a sense of pride and unity among the student body.

The Chief Guest, Col Shishir Thammaiah motivated the members of the student council to keep up the good spirit despite all the obstacles and challenges that life brings in front of them. He said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more you are a leader” which inspired every member of the student council.

The investiture ceremony reached its pinnacle when all the student council members collectively took the oath of office. They solemnly pledged to discharge their duties with honesty, fairness, and diligence. The oath served as a reminder of the responsibilities they would shoulder and the impact they would have on the school and its community. The ground reverberated when the students witnessed an impressive march past accompanied by an eclectic band.
