The Teacher's Day celebrations at NPS International Mysore on September 5th were marked by an enthusiastic and splendid display of gratitude and admiration. The entire event was meticulously organized and executed by the dedicated students of grade 12.

The festivities commenced a day before the event, with a thoughtful gesture where all teachers received handmade paper lotuses. Each lotus contained a cryptic movie quote, leading them to a designated location - the pool area. As the teachers gathered at the venue, they were welcomed with applause from the students and a grand invitation revealed by our principal, Ms. Akhila Dinesh, accompanied by the release of helium balloons. The theme of the event, 'Bollywood,' was unveiled, setting the stage for an unforgettable day. The event also featured a touching poem recited by the emcees, perfectly capturing the profound role of a teacher in a student's life.

The venue was beautifully decorated by the student team that created an enchanting atmosphere. To kick-start the festivities, a banner was unfurled, showering flower petals on the teachers as a delightful surprise. This was followed by an extravagant fashion show, where students donned ethnic attire representing diverse cultures. The confidence and style displayed by each pair or trio drew thunderous applause and cheers from the audience.

The students further expressed their appreciation through group songs dedicated to the teachers, pouring their heartfelt emotions into every note. Mr. Smith and Mr. Vishwas surprised the audience with their mesmerizing vocal performances. The climax of the event was an exhilarating dance performance, featuring a fusion of popular Bollywood numbers. This lively showcase was met with great enthusiasm and joy from both the teachers and students in attendance.

The event concluded with a heartfelt address by Ms. Akhila Dinesh, who expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all the staff members for their unwavering dedication and contribution to the school. The students were also acknowledged for their outstanding efforts in making the day memorable. Each teacher received a flower crafted by the students as a token of gratitude, leaving them deeply moved and touched by the students' heartfelt gestures.

The Principal and the Admin team had a special fun filled programme planned for all teachers in the evening. During the week gone by, the teachers had participated in an inter department competition on innovative teaching aids. It was amazing to see the teachers come up with ‘out of the box’ teaching tools and aids. Prizes were awarded to the best teams across sectors. The games and activities and the lavish spread for high tea made every teacher feel special and cherished. All teachers departed with a deep sense of gratitude for their role in the noble teaching profession.
