India celebrated its 78th Independence Day on 15 August 2024. The fervor of independence sparkled at NPSI Mysore on D-Day. The school was glammed in grandeur with hues of tri-colour. The programme commenced with escorting the Principal by the House Captains to hoist the flag, followed by a parade from the House Captains and House members from classes 9 to 12. The Band also marched in sync with the other house members showcasing symphony with their musical instruments.

The students of class 5 and 7 exhibited dance drama showcasing the freedom struggle and some dressed as freedom fighters. Students from the kindergarten and primary gave inspiring speeches and highlighted the essence and significance of independence day.

The Principal Ms Akhila Dinesh, in her address to the students, extolled upon them to respect diversity, imbibe compassion, promote unity and depict humility. She also cited that freedom comes with great responsibility, where one has to reconnect with the glorious past, assess the present and reflect on the future.
