National Science Day
NPSI, Mysore, sparked new life and keenness as it celebrated National Science Day with the theme, ‘Curiosity’ on 28 February 2025. The classrooms were filled with a variegation of projects exhibited by young and budding scientists from the students of classes 4-11, who had been eagerly waiting to showcase their scientific temperament and talents. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Ms Akhila Dinesh. She appreciated the students for taking steps towards the event and spoke about the importance of art integration. Ms. Josheta Hari, Associate Director, NPS Group of Institutions, took a special interest and toured each presentation and held the budding scientists in high esteem. The students unravelled a kaleidoscopic of concepts in physics, chemistry, biology, robotics and displayed an array of science projects. They radiated enthusiasm and displayed confidence as they demonstrated their projects. One of the highlights of the event was the projects from the STEM lab, which was a new initiative infused into the curriculum from the current academic year. The ‘Chem-Magic’ demonstrated by the students of class 11 was captivating as they performed magic with different chemicals. The parents were engrossed in listening to the presentations and were enlightened. They deeply appreciated the enthusiastic participants for their zeal towards learning. The event was a great learning experience for both the students and the visitors. It enabled the students to bring the classroom learning alive and update on the latest scientific developments, showcasing their talents. It helped the visitors to witness the spark of curiosity and creativity among the young budding scientists.
