The spirit of Dasara was at its peak and could be felt by everyone at NPS International, Mysore, on 19th September 2025. Students and teachers came together to celebrate this vibrant festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by a thoughtful explanation of the significance of Dasara. The speaker beautifully highlighted how the festival marks Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and Goddess Durga’s triumph over Mahishasura. The celebration held special importance for Mysureans, as the city itself comes alive during Dasara with grandeur and gaiety, attracting tourists from across the world. The belief that Goddess Chamundi protects the city made the occasion even more meaningful. The event reminded everyone that truth and virtue always prevail, inspiring students to follow the path of righteousness and courage.

The cultural segment began with a melodious song presented by the Grade 1 students, who beautifully expressed the essence of Dasara through their sweet voices and lively rhythm. Their delightful performance created an atmosphere of joy and set the perfect tone for the celebration.

This was followed by a synchronized dance performance by the Grade 3 students, radiating energy and the true spirit of Dasara. Their graceful movements, traditional attire, and vibrant rhythm captivated the audience and brought the festive mood to life.

Our respected Principal then addressed the gathering, appreciating the sincere efforts of the students and teachers in organizing such a wonderful event. She emphasized the importance of celebrating festivals in schools to instil cultural values and moral lessons among students. She also encouraged everyone to embrace goodness, discipline, and positivity in their daily lives.
