NPS International, Mysore, marked the 79th Independence Day with great zeal and patriotic fervour on Friday, 15th August 2025. The celebration began with an inspiring welcome address by students of Class 9, who set the stage for a day dedicated to honoring the spirit of freedom and national unity.

The flag hoisting ceremony was the centrepiece of the event, followed by the resounding national anthem sung passionately by the entire school community. This moment created an atmosphere of pride and togetherness, as everyone stood united to celebrate India’s independence.

A series of cultural programmes reflected the talents and creativity of students across all classes. The little ones from Class 3 charmed the audience with a melodious flag song, adding a touch of innocence and joy to the occasion. The precision and discipline of students from Classes 6 to 12 were displayed through a well-coordinated march past and band performance, which impressed all attendees with its flawless execution.

Highlighting the cultural diversity of our nation, Class 4 performed a spirited patriotic group song in Kannada, while Class 7 delivered an engaging speech in Kannada on India’s journey to independence. Class 8 captivated the audience with a meaningful Hindi speech emphasizing the value of freedom in students' lives today.

The Pre-Primary students brought smiles to everyone’s faces with their colourful fancy dress presentation, radiating creativity and enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Class 5 energized the atmosphere with a lively dance performance, reflecting joy, coordination, and school spirit.

The Principal addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, emphasizing the significance of unity, responsibility, and love for the nation. The celebration concluded on a sweet note with the distribution of sweets, leaving students and staff with happy memories of the day.
