Investiture Ceremony
The 12th Investiture Ceremony of NPS International School, Mysore was held with great enthusiasm and solemnity on 27 June 2025 at the school ground. This prestigious event marked the official induction of the Student Council members and House Captains of the Challengers, Explorers, Pioneers, and Voyagers houses, who will shoulder the mantle of leadership and responsibility for the academic year 2025–26.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished Chief Guest, Colonel Rohit Thakur, and Guest of Honour, Lieutenant Colonel Hitesh Kala. Their presence added immense pride and honour to the occasion. The Principal, Ms. Akhila Dinesh, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. She emphasized the importance of student leadership and the role of the council members in upholding the school’s values. She also administered the oath, with the student leaders pledging to execute their duties with diligence, integrity, and commitment. The Chief Guest, Colonel Rohit Thakur, currently serving as a Group Commander in Mysore, has actively participated in major national operations, including the Kargil War and Operation Parakram. In his powerful address, he spoke about the duty of every individual towards society, touched upon geo-political realities and urged students to live with purpose and build a constructive vision for their future and the world around them. The formal proceedings included compelling speeches by the School Prefect and Sports Captain, the semi-ceremonial presentation of badges and sashes by the dignitaries and culminated in an impressive march past led by the student leaders, accompanied by the school band. The 12th Investiture Ceremony was not only a moment of celebration but also a solemn reminder of the values, discipline, and vision that shape the leaders of tomorrow.
