Environment Week Celebration
Our school joyfully celebrated Environment Week with a series of engaging and meaningful activities that helped children understand the importance of caring for nature and protecting our planet.
The week began with a creative Leaf Printing Activity, where children used different leaves to create beautiful butterfly prints. Through this activity, they observed the unique shapes, textures, and patterns of leaves while appreciating the beauty of nature.
Students enthusiastically participated in watering plants, learning that plants need love, care, sunlight, and water to grow healthy and strong. This hands-on experience nurtured a sense of responsibility and empathy towards living things.
The children also took part in seed sowing, where they carefully planted seeds and learned about the basic requirements for plant growth. This was followed by an exciting germination activity, during which they observed how a tiny seed gradually sprouted into a young plant, sparking curiosity and wonder about the natural world.
The celebration concluded with an engaging Jam Session, where children confidently came forward to speak a few lines on nature-related topics such as trees, fruits, and flowers. They shared their thoughts with great enthusiasm, reflecting their learning and growing awareness of environmental conservation.
To extend this message beyond the classroom, students of KG 2 and Montessori Seniors participated in a meaningful rally to the Main Building. Carrying colourful placards and raising slogans such as "Save Earth!", "Save Water!", and "Plant More Trees!", they inspired everyone to take small but significant steps towards protecting the environment.
Environment Week was a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to explore, discover, and develop a deep sense of responsibility towards nature. Through these enjoyable and hands-on experiences, they learned that every small action can contribute to building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable planet for the future.
