Bonjour India
Bonjour India,one of a kind French festival for schools in India was hosted by Phoenix International Academy in the city recently.The team from NPS-I took part in the various competitions conducted in the fest such as dance, singing & quiz. The students won first prize in group dance, second prizes in group song, solo song, Drawing and painting competitions. The fest was a show of talent and skill of the students who took part from various schools. The attention-grabber of the event was the French food stalls which had been set up. They displayed an array of mouth-watering French cuisine, which included Croissants, Macrons, Quiche, Tartes. that everyone was eager to taste. The Bonjour India group aims to create awareness about France in India and India in France and the mix of cultures between the two countries. Overall, the fest was a huge success for a first time event in Mysore city.

QSCIENZA - 2K17 BASE PU COLLEGE
'Science is a beautiful gift to humanity, we should not distort it' – Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Students of class X from NPSI Mysore got the opportunity to showcase their scientific calibre at QSCIENZA – 2K17 – a debate and Quiz fest conducted by BASE PU College, Mysore on 18 November 2017. After rigorous written and prelim rounds, only 6 Pairs of students were selected for the Quiz. The topics for the debate were – Genome sequence Alteration – A medical advancement and The Nuclear energy – A reliable alternate.
The team of students from NPSI created a niche for themselves as they came close to winning in all rounds. It was an ecstatic moment when Mohammed Ayman won the first place in the debate, defeating forty students from various other schools. The questions posed by the judges were answered by him with confidence and precision as he quoted facts and statistics on Nuclear energy. The judges were very happy with the forethought he exhibited and the solutions he gave to the current challenges faced by the nuclear energy sector. The school also received the excellent participation trophy and certificate.

CONQUIZ COMPETITION
The PES University conducted an Inter School Science Quiz Competition in July 2017 and about 6 teams participated consisting of students from Classes X, XI and XII.
Vishal Parackal and Chirag Deepak of Class XII A bagged the third prize. There were about 148 teams who took part in the event from various schools across Mysore.
