"The best form of truthfulness is keeping our promises".
On 17th January 2018, the students of Class III 'B' presented their class assembly on the theme, "Promises are meant to be kept, not broken". A beautiful invite was created which depicted the theme and all the teachers and students were invited to witness the programme in the school assembly area at 8:10 am.
Sian and Stuti were the anchors for the day. They began the programme by giving a warm welcome to everyone present there. The story of Punyakoti - a folktale about a cow who spoke truth at all times, was narrated by a group of students in English as well as sung in Kannada. A dance drama was also enacted to highlight the thought 'Honesty is always rewarded.'
The children presented a soul - stirring thought that made all realize the need to keep up to their promises. The thundering applause after the skit proved that the message, reached every child and did indeed, make a difference to them.
The class Assembly of 3A was presented by the students on 10 January 2018.
They had been eagerly waiting to put up their presentation for the academic year 2017-18. The theme was "Expression Speaks"-a thoughtful and creative but at the same time, a difficult topic to depict. The practice started in the month of November but the planning for it started long before that.
The day finally arrived and students were excited to do their best to impress the audience. The main attraction of the show was,"The cup song" which needed a lot of practice as it had to do with coordination, rhythm and concentration.
There was enthusiasm and confidence galore and amidst all these the show went on very well fetching a loud applause by the audience. The pride of the students reached zenith when the cup song gained a huge shout of 'once more' by the principal. Hard work pays off,is exactly what was conveyed through the show.Students spoke eloquently and truly rocked the stage yet again in the end with the puppet dance.
Their expression truly spoke.....

Our values are the very building blocks of the society. They are learnt early in life and determine our personality. One such value is respect. On 6 December, 2017 the students of class 6-B presented the class assembly on this value. Here are some of their expressions on the programme:
Our class assembly was on December 6 and we had practiced very hard to put up this show.Days before the assembly Chahel, Kavya, Pranati and Vishrutha were busy crafting a wonderful invite for the class assembly consisting of a rainbow and a tree of respect. On the day of the assembly, Chahel, Mayur, Pranati and Pragnya were the comperes of the programme. At the outset, two students- Kavya and Sadhana addressed the school as news reporters and gave an update on the latest events organized at the school. After this, Vishnu recited Shlokas in Sanskrit, highlighting the significance of respect in our life, and Samarth conveyed the meaning of each Shloka in English. Next, we had a skit scripted by Ananth and Samarth which depicted how respect, no matter what the case, takes you higher in life. It was enacted beautifully by Ananth, Jaishnav, Rishank, Rohan, Samarth, Tanya, Tribhuvan and Vidhatri and narration was done by Anuj and Rudharth. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students watching the assembly. Following this, a group song was presented which was composed by Anuj and had very meaningful lyrics and accompanying the singers were Bharat, the guitarist and Janhavi, the pianist. In a short time, they were able to prepare themselves. Later, various quotes on respect were recited by all the students of the class. The students stood in a V- formation and one by one came forward and spoke. Our assembly ended with the much-awaited group dance on the tune of the song- ‘Larger than Life’ and Tribhuvan was undoubtedly the best performer who took the lead. In the end, a vote of thanks was read by Aahana and Zahra and requested all the teachers to put stickers on a beautifully created banner by both of them. The audience applauded as the assembly came to an end. Then, there were group photographs and all students posed happily for the same. Janhavi-6B
The dances gained a lot of applause from the audience. The skit was also enjoyed by everybody though there was a slight mistake in it.We, the students of 6 B, presented the essence of respect by speaking quotes that highlighted the importance of this virtue. The programme ended with Rohan and Zahra doing cartwheels, Tribhuvan a front flip while Chahel did a slow walk.It was a satisfying experience to put up the class assembly with my friends. Ananth-6B
It was such a joy to work with the students while planning, watching the students rehearse and be a part of their excitement for the class assembly. We appreciate all the students for their contribution.
Weeks of planning, days of hard work, hours of practice, curiosity and excitement reached its destination on December 13, 2017, the class assembly of V C.
The students of 5C took the audience through a time travel of awe-inspiring moments with their melodious voice singing ‘Hum Rahe Ya Na Rahe Kal...Yaad ayenge ye pal' and with their foot tapping dances that convinced them to make the world a better place.
The students bid adieu with a note to ponder-'We spend precious hours fearing the inevitable, it would be wise to use that time adoring our families, cherishing our friends and living our lives’.
"In this grand game of life, the world is your mirror. It reflects what you put forward. If you do not like the reflection life is showing you, then choose to change that which is causing it. The main object is to grow, develop and transform yourself into a more positive and good human being…….."
The students of class V B sent across this message during their class assembly, which was staged on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. A skit filled with humour, quotes and an energetic dance number did full justice to the quote, 'The world around you is a reflection, a mirror showing you the person you are'.
“Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn’t Work Hard”
This was the main objective of class VIII A, who showcased a class assembly for the school on 29 November 2017. The students had to put in a lot of effort and hard work to make the show a grand success.
The assembly started with the song “Unstoppable”, rendered by the students. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the process. Then, a few students threw light on the hard work portrayed by famous personalities and how they had achieved their goals, although they faced a lot of obstacles. Some of them included Arunima Sinha, Munibha Mazari, P T Usha and Kedambi Srikanth.
The class assembly was complemented by inspirational speeches given by the Class Teacher and Associate Class Teacher. Their speech clearly mentioned the importance and benefits of hard work.
The show ended with a boost of adrenaline - a dance performance by the students. The dance was choreographed by the students themselves. They had vigorous practice sessions before the assembly.
The students received a great deal of appreciation for their hard work that led to a grand and successful performance.
The theme of the class assembly “Spirit of service” was a tribute to the Indian citizens who have dedicated themselves for improving the lives of people around them. Their inner strength – vision, will, commitment, energy – compensate for their lack of financial resources.
On 29 November 2017, students of class 8B presented before the school the stories of seemingly ordinary people who with their spirit of service have made extraordinary contributions to society, nation and environment, against great personal odds. They teach us how can we beat all odds if we harness and channel our inner strengths.
The Work done by personalities like Kailash Satyarthi [Nobel peace prize recipient], Shika Patra, Anjali Chandrashekar, Madhu Bhatnagar, Tilak Vij, Yoganathan[a bus conductor], Chewang Norpel[Ice man], Baba Amte was brought to light .
Students performed a skit to show how some of the above personalities brought about a positive change in the community they lived, and the awards they have been honoured with as recognition for their services. This was followed by the class teacher and associate class teacher narrating a short inspirational story on Alfred Nobel.
A song and a dance further added to the theme of the class assembly and ignited the spark among the audience to change the world for the better. The class assembly concluded with vote of thanks and a quote spoken by Mahatma Gandhi, who himself is known for his extraordinary service to humanity and the nation.
"Attitude is mind's paint brush. It can colour any situation".
25 October 2017 was the class assembly of 7B.The theme of the assembly was mindset. The aim behind this theme was to encourage the audience to set their minds with positivity, no matter what situation they come across.
Aadya and Chaithanya anchored the programme posing as television reporters of channel NPS 24x7. To keep the mind of audience tuned, the programme was started with a song to think positive. The song was supported by the music of marakhas and jaltharang. This made the song more lively and entertaining. This was followed by a mind based game. It was played in order to bring in a realisation that games can also be played without any gadgets.
Next, a skit depicting how not to focus on the negative aspects of life but to look towards the positive, was enacted by the students. This was followed by an entertaining fusion dance by girls. It was a feast to our eyes to watch them dance to the tunes of Bhrathanatyam.
Students’ presentation of quotes related to mindset along with the soothing beats of jaltharang as the background music was an enjoyable experience. The programme concluded with a story narration by the class teacher and the associate class teacher.
The assembly ended with a happy note of acknowledging the people who helped put up the show. It was truly a very creative assembly wherein the talents of the students were displayed innovatively.
