REMINISCENCES - 2018 - 19
Shukavana
The students of Class III A and B were taken on a field trip to Ganapathi Sachidananda Ashram on 9th Aug 2018. The students were taken around the Shukavana which is home to a variety of birds that are cared for, by the people in the Ashram. The students were awestruck by the vibrant colours of the birds. They were keen to read the details of every bird that was put up in front of the cage. They were introduced to a host of birds and learnt about their habitat and country they belong to. The children had a good time interacting with each other. They exchanged information on birds and were very glad to be a part of this field trip.
Land of Creativity...
The students of Class 4 came to school on 10 August 2018 with lots of excitement and curiosity as they were earnestly looking forward for their field trip. The children made their way into the bus to their seat next to their favourite companion. There wasn’t any warm up required as the children started humming their choicest songs the moment the bus rolled its wheels. Every minute of the journey was lived to its fullest and in no time, the students arrived to their destination – The Sand Museum. An abode of creativity and art galore, this place inspired the students and teachers with its giant sculptures made out of sand. The students were wonder-struck observing the skill exhibited. The students keenly listened to the description given by one of the representative, about the artist and the process of creating the museum. The dexterity of the artist was profoundly appreciated by the students. The trip seemed incomplete without the scrumptious snacks brought by them. It was a feast to the eyes for the teachers to witness their sharing and caring amongst themselves. Indeed, a memorable day.
