A Visit to Planet Earth
The ocean makes up most of our planet; and the creatures that dwell therein, are enchanting and endlessly fascinating. An aquarium offers extensive visual stimulation that’s perfect for children’s cognitive development, making it a great choice for a day out where they can further develop their knowledge and vocabulary through identification.
A field trip to Planet Earth was organized for the students of KG I along with Montessori Juniors. The visit to the aquarium gave them the scope to learn about the various species of fish. This was not only their first opportunity to see the animals and birds, but they also learnt about habitats and behaviours of sea creatures. They saw a rare collection of domestic animalsincluding dogs, macaws, pigeons, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, iguana and the like. Students were thrilled to witness various farming activities in the same campus.
While the aquarium offered a mellow rhythm that soothed them as they gazed at colourful fish; the petting of various animals was a chance which was not to be missed. Planet Earth was a world beyond their neighbourhood that they explored. It is a happening place, where the students learnt and also had fun galore.
