Route to Shukavana
The students of class III visited 'Shukavana' for their field trip, on 30 July; 2019. Children had a surprise awaiting as they were not told about the destination of their field trip and the excitement was fun to watch. They kept guessing on their way to the aviary. As we reached our destination, the students were enthusiastic to walk through aviary spread across one and a half acres, located inside the sprawling Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Ashram. The students were awe struck at the beauty and variety of birds. The macaws were the most ecstatic sight of all! They learnt about the origin and life span of each bird and even learnt that the largest macaw is the Hyacinth macaw. Students saw many species of rare, vibrant and astonishing birds like the Red billed Toucan, Hawk Headed Parrot, Grey parrot etc. The chirpy tweeting of the parrots was pleasant to the ears. The little learners returned with loads of wonderful memories to cherish.
