As a part of outdoor learning and in order to instill the value of conserving plants, a field trip to the Sampath Plant Nursery was organized for the class I students of NPSI, Mysore on 19 June 2019. In the nursery the little ones were shown different types of plants and the various parts of the plants and their uses were explained to them.

The children had a wonderful learning experience and were excited to see various types of herbs, shrubs and trees. They were also made aware of the importance of plants in our lives and why one should prevent deforestation. They were introduced to different medicinal plants like tulsi, hibiscus, alovera, neem etc., and were told about their medicinal values. The children were very inquisitive to know more about the plants. They were very enthusiastic to share their opinions and information they had on plants and its benefits.The field trip was indeed educative and a memorable experience for the little learners.
