Elocution Activity
An elocution activity was conducted for the students of class VI on the topic 'Child Labour'. The students expressed their views on the reasons of the prevalence of child labour, the need for awareness of child rights, the poor living conditions of the children involved in child labour and how child labour can be eradicated.
The activity was in continuation to the poem taken up in the class titled 'Chimney Boy’s Story' which brought to light the plight of a boy who was a victim of child labour. The students were able to analyse the social evil in the society and spoke about the steps which need to be taken to deal with it.
