We learn Together
Children are enthusiastic to explore and try their hands at different activities. They learn best, when there is hands-on experience of concepts.
Silly Soup : An activity was conducted in KG I class where many objects like spoon, apple, tooth brush etc were kept together in the big bowl. When a particular letter was told aloud by the teacher, the child had to pick the object starting with that letter and also say the sound of the letter.
Our Helpers : A story was narrated about ,people who help us in our day to day life. Big flash cards were displayed on the table. Children had to identify and pick the flash cards, name it and speak about the community helper and the tools they use.
Zero-the hero : Understanding of zero was taught in a very interesting manner using colour balls. It was shown in a transparent bowl that zero has no value but when a number is added, the value increases and zero becomes a hero!
We sets of five : In a magic bag, objects of different sets were kept. Children had to pick a set and count the object kept in the set. This also helped them understand that in a set, each and every object kept are of same shape, size and colour.
