    Elections for the Academic Year 2019 - 20

    Thursday 6 June, 2019 began with excitement and joy as the school council elections ear marked the first event in school. Nominees began campaigning two days prior by putting forth their ideas in their best speeches.

    The school portrayed the scene of a polling booth with election officers, ballot boxes, ballot papers and marking ink. All the things were kept in place for the process of election to take its course of action. The voting process for the school council began at 8:15 am. Students from classes 9 to 12 cast their votes. The teachers and support staff also played a vital role in choosing the best among nominated candidates for various posts by casting their votes.

    The Principal Ms Shubha Achaiah, the Chief election Commissioner for the elections 2019, spearheaded the proceedings. The counting took place in the lawn and the students took their positions in the corridors from the first to the third floor. Finally the results were announced by our Principal. Deepaknarayan S Bharadwaj was elected to be the School prefect, Nageshwar V was chosen to be the Senior Vice Prefect and Paulatsya Adwait Vekaria emerged as the Junior Vice Prefect. Ananya Ramaprasad and Kiran M were elected as the Sports Captain and the Sports Vice Captain.

    The second phase of elections was for the different positions in the Houses. The voting for all the four houses took place simultaneously at different venues in the school campus. The counting of votes was carried out in the Principal’s office. The team spirit of each house was praiseworthy. The school roared in jubilant cheers for the elected leaders of the different houses. The day concluded with thrill and excitement as each house looked forward to win the "Best house Trophy" with their most favourite leaders in action.
